WHAT TO WEAR

I get this question all the time so don’t feel defeated! Putting together outfits can be super tricky. Here are my 5 pointers that help my clients achieve the look they want!

1. Coordinate, don’t match!

My best piece of advice is to coordinate, not match. A good trick is to pick a piece that you love for one person that has a pattern, and pull colors from that pattern. Stick to 3-4 colors. That will keep you all coordinating without everyone showing up wearing the same thing!

2. Don’t be afraid of patterns!

Like I said above, patterns can be super helpful in gathering a color palette for the rest of the family. Patterns are visually fun and can add a lot to your photos! Accessorize, have fun with the details. Use layers to give some options!

3. Stay away from logos, words and pictures!

Having large words, logos or characters on t-shirts can be super distracting and can end up making the photos look a little less professional. I tell my clients to stick to simple when it comes to their tops and stay away from the busyness of graphics on shirts!

4. Color is your friend!

This is personal preference, some people love neutrals (and so do I!) but there is a time and place for some color! Color can make your photos pop. Once we pick a location together then you can start pulling colors that will go well with your background.

5. Pick something you feel great in!

If you are uncomfortable in your outfit, you’ll see it in your face! Pick something you feel fantastic in! Pick something that you would want to strut the runway in! If you feel good in what you’re wearing it will be so much more enjoyable for you and I guarantee you’ll love the results so much more!
